Eagle Cliff and the Eaglet are part of Mt Lafayette. Golden Eagles used to nest in the crags on these cliffs, which gave these cliffs their name. It rises 1,500 ft above Profile Lake. There isn't a trail to the top like there is on all of the surrounding mountains and ledges. A tough bushwhack is required to reach the top but it is worth the trip for the fabulous views. Profile Lake is a 13 acre lake and sits below the cliff that once held the Old Man of the Mountain.
