Old Orchard Beach Pier late in the afternoon on a calm, warm afternoon. Lots of swift moving storm clouds offering soft sunshine one minute and then rain the next. The tide was slowly rolling in wetting the sand for a peak of reflection.

Walking on the beach at low tide, early in the morning is one of my favorite things in life. You have it all to yourself, the soft lapping of the waves, the chirping of the seagulls. I love seeing the wet sand designs created by the waves and the clouds reflecting in the pools. Hampton Beach sunrise.

A wave crashes as hurricane Sandy approaches Rye, NH, along the Atlantic Coast. The tide was coming in but still low here. The hurricane was in full force a few hours later at high tide. Hampton Beach Dawn Low Tide

The sun peaks over the horizon and opens one eye, to shine down on this beautiful blue world we call earth. The tide is low at Hampton Beach, which allows us to roam and explore the barnacle covered rocks that are usually hidden beneath the surf. The waves slowly roll in filling the tiny pools, reflecting the sun's orange rays and we think .....What a beautiful day to be alive.
